Rehoming your Springer
There are many reasons why you may feel that you can no longer give your spaniel the home he or she deserves. If you are having problems with your dog’s behaviour before resorting to giving him or her up, it is worth consulting your vet and/or a behaviourist as they may be able to give you advice which will enable you to keep your dog.If you are absolutely certain that you want to find a new home for your dog please complete the online surrender form and we will do our best to help find a suitable home. When you surrender your dog, they will come into a springer rescue foster home until a suitable forever home can be found for them. In the unfortunate circumstances we don’t have the available foster space for your dog, you may be asked to keep him or her in your home until a space becomes available or we find a suitable forever home.If we can offer your dog a place in a foster home you will need to be able to bring him or her into our care. If this is not possible we may be able to collect the dog, but will ask for a donation to the rescue to cover the cost. When you bring your dog into our care, you will need to complete a surrender form and sign it, provide us with your dog’s vaccination card, microchip registration and any other documentation relating to your dog. While making a donation is not a condition of us taking in a dog, it would be very much appreciated as costs will incur while caring for your dog. This especially applies for dogs whose vaccinations are not up to date and dogs who may be with us for an extended period of time.
